The material to be tested is placed in a cycling procedure of alternating light and moisture at a certain temperature. UV can reproduce the outdoor hazards that occur for months to years after several days or weeks of testing. The hazard types include fading, discoloration, loss of gloss, pulverization, cracks, turbidity, blistering, embrittlement, strength degradation and oxidation.
