The leather softness tester specifically measures the softness of genuine leather and artificial leather to understand whether the softness and hardness of the same batch of leather is uniform, or the softness difference of each part of a single piece of leather. The testing machine fully complies with the IULTCS.IUP 136 standard, and has the characteristics of precision, beauty, easy operation, good maintenance, and portability
Standard test
EN ISO17235-2002: Leather, physical and mechanical tests: determination of softness ISO17235-2002: Leather, physical properties and mechanical properties test Determination of stiffness
Experimental steps
1. First use a test ring with a diameter of 35mm on the test seat of the test machine;
2. Use the metal plate equipped with the machine to adjust the machine dial to zero;
3. Press the sample into the test seat of the testing machine;
4. After the sample is pressed in, the pointer on the testing machine will change. After the pointer is stable, record its corresponding value (accuracy to 0.1mm);
5. Test the values of three different points and take the average Note for leather softness tester: the distance between two adjacent test points is not less than 15cm Diameter of the test ring: φ=35 mm The shrink ring is suitable for detecting shoe leather Diameter of test ring: φ=25 mm The shrink ring is suitable for detecting sofa leather Diameter of test ring: φ=20 mm The shrink ring is suitable for detecting leather for gloves or leather clothing
